Programs You Should Have On Your Computer

There are several programs you should have on your computer to protect yourself from viruses and malware. You should also have a program on your computer to help remove cookies, as these really just gum up your computer space. The first and most important program you should have is the Ccleaner. Make sure to download the free version to make sure you like this program and if you do and have the money you can upgrade it. This program will remove cookies from your computer and I suggest you do it several times a day. This is how my Ccleaner is set up to run. You can set it up to clear everything or only what you wish to clear. Just check or uncheck the boxes as you go through the list they provide you with, that you want the cleaner to clean.

CCleaner

With this program you can white list the sites you visit the most so that you do not have to keep signing into them. This means that you will not have to reenter those pesky passwords that some of us forget to remember. It is real easy to set up the whitelist on Ccleaner. First you need to go to Options.

Cookies

In the search bar on cookies in computer, type in the sites you wish to whitelist. It will find them and you can click on them to select them. Then use use the >> to add to the whitelist. This will prevent the Ccleaner from removing them from your computer and you do not have to put in your passwords again. 

Now you can run Ccleaner if you want to. Its very easy and works great to remove cookies and cache from your computer. 

Ccleaner

You will want to analyze your computer which only takes a few seconds to run. After it has finished analyzing your computer you will want to run the cleaner. This will remove all cookies and the cache you have on your computer. It will pop up a box letting you know they will be permanently deleted click the ok button. 

You should also run the registry cleaner also. This will find and fix any registry errors you have and will also remover missing items as sometimes you have deleted something and part of it still remains on your computer. These can cause problems which you will be shaking your fist at your computer thinking you have a major problem. It is very easy to fix these problems by simply running the registry cleaner.

Registry

You just scan for issues, this also just takes a few seconds to run. Once it has finished you will know if there are any issues that need to be fixed. You will click on the fix selected issues as these are already checked off. Another box will pop up asking you if you wish to back up these issues. Always say no, then click on the fix issues button.


If you wish to have a screenshot program there are several of them online. I choose to use the LightShot program. This is an easy to use program and works really good. Just use your PrtScn button on your keyboard to take a screenshot. A small box will open up on the lower right side of your screen showing you the image you captured is being uploaded so you can share it. Just click on the copy link then you can paste it anywhere that you desire to show it.

You should also have malwarebytes, you can get the free version here. You should run this at least once a week or when you think you may have malware. You will see you computer lagging, or not functioning like it should. Run this then delete any malware that is found.
